Robin’s professional history has an underlying theme of engaging audiences and moving public opinion – whether that public is the community inside an organization, the community where the organization operates, or the community an organization serves.
Often described as visionary, Robin is a strong generalist able to draw from her broad-based experience to select the right strategic elements to achieve organizational goals and objectives. The tools she knows well include: strategic planning, market research and measurement, stakeholder engagement and communications, public affairs, social marketing and program development.
Robin has worked in various environments including: public affairs /communications consulting firms, non-profit organizations, a municipal government, a Crown agency, and an executive-level political office. The common factors in each of Robin’s roles have been her adherence to values-based work and her thoughtful influence on culture and policy direction. Through both paid and pro-bono work, she’s tackled some of the biggest social issues including: climate change, housing and homelessness, permanency through adoption, sexual health, organizational culture management, workplace safety culture, and corporate responsibility programming.
